Why you’re not reaching your goals

Lessons from the Sessions is our weekly blog that gives you insight from what we’re coaching on in our coaching sessions.

We had a client who had so much information, course, classes, books, workbooks, videos, you name it, about losing weight. And still she struggled to lose weight.

The truth is sometimes we, unbeknownst to us, procrastinate on our goals by allowing ourselves to stay in the R&D (research & development) mode. We lollygag in the NO ACTION zone because we are gathering information. We also trick ourselves out of achieving certain goals by telling ourselves we just haven’t found the right way or the right plan yet.

It’s not true. Most things are simple. We want to overcomplicate them because then it gives us an excuse to not do the work. Love you, but it’s true.

So, if you’re still reading this, this is your sign: YOU DO NOT NEED MORE INFORMATION. JUST START.

  1. This is so true. I myself am very prone to going down rabbit holes when I should just start whatever I plan on starting on. Great reminder there. Thanks for sharing!
